About Us
Leeds University Union Netball Club is a high performance netball club aimed towards helping Leeds students progress as young athletes in the BUCS leagues. As a club, we are fully dedicated to the development of players individually and also as a squad. It is the commitment of our players, committee and head coach Joan Young which allowed us to excel and claim Club Of The Year 2019.

Our TeamsWe have six high performance teams in the BUCS leagues. Training sessions for each team vary; with the majority of members training at least three times a week (see below for more training information).
There is scope for movement throughout teams. If a particular player shows improvement, this will be recognised within the club. This creates possibility for those individuals to move into the higher, and more advanced squads. It is thanks to the dedication and hard work of our players and excellent coaches that we saw huge success of our teams in the BUCS 2022/23 leagues. 2023/24 Season Leagues: 1st Team: Northern Premier 2nd and 3rd Teams: EY Northern Tier 2B 4th Team: EY Northern Tier 3B 5th Team: EY Northern Tier 5B 6th Team: EY Northern Tier 6B 7th Team (LUUDNC): EY Northern Tier 10B |

As a club, our time spent off the court is just as important as training and matches. LUUNC is a club which encourages the forming of lifelong bonds between its members. Our weekly socials are organised by our Social Secs to facilitate the building of strong relationships off court as well as on. On top of this, Tour is a great opportunity that will solidify the friendships you have already made.
At LUUNC, support is very important to us. Because of this we spend many Wednesdays on the sidelines cheering each other on!
A key value for us at LUUNC is charitable giving. As a large society we believe that we have a responsibility to raise money for worthy causes and engage with the community. It is the role of our 2023/24 Charity Sec Katie to help choose and organise such charity events.
With opportunities to assume leadership positions, either as a team captains or as a members of our committee, being a part of LUUNC gives people the scope to become a more rounded individual and gain valuable skills that will look great on your CV!
We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate young netballers to join our club for the 2023/24 season. During welcome week come and visit us on campus at our stand on the 26th of September. For more information please contact us or check out our Leeds University Netball freshers page on Facebook for future updates!
